Digital Usage Analyst (Ref: WZ/DUA)
WoZZon, the UK’s number 1 event search service, and its sister company F1000, publisher of www.thescientist.com and a leading online service offering professional comment on biomedical research, are both expanding and need a Digital Analyst. The analyst will work across both companies to provide insights into our customers’ journeys online and on mobile. There will be day to day variety in this role because of the very different nature of each business, but both companies are part of the innovative and ground breaking Science Navigation Group.
The analyst will be responsible for the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data to help optimise usage and sign ups, and understand demographics, and behaviour patterns. He or she will also measure our AdWords, Adsense and SEO effectiveness, suggesting proposals to improve these.
The digital analyst will also advise on and set up tools to help us track marketing campaigns more easily.
As well as using digital tools to interpret usage, you will co-ordinate usability sessions to analyse user-behaviour at first hand.
Main Duties:
- Web usage analysis – tracking user behaviour on the woZZon and F1000 websites
- Mobile usage analysis - tracking user behaviour on the woZZon mobile internet and applications
- Identifying patterns and behaviour of users
- Supplying detailed usage and user-behavior reports to 3rd party advertisers and sponsors
- SEO analysis
- Presenting reports to marketing/product teams
- User interface analysis
- Co-ordination with developer teams to set up reporting tools
- Working to deadlines within strict time constraints
- Organising usability sessions
Personal Specification:
- Experience of web usage analytics and software
- Experience of usage analysis software
- Sound analytical skills and attention to detail
- SEO experience
- Good communication skills – presenting complex data in a visual style
- Experience of monitoring/measuring of mobile traffic is desirable

Digital Product Manager (Ref: WZ/DPM)
WoZZon, the UK’s number 1 event search service, is expanding and needs a Digital Product Manager to manage our expanding set of web and mobile applications. These already include a Nokia Grand Prize winning mobile service, iPhone, Android and Blackberry apps, Facebook applications, and the most comprehensive online event search product in the UK. Plus we have ambitious plans to expand into new areas.
The Digital Product Manager will be responsible for the development of the sites and apps from beta phase to full commercial launch. You will review and propose new features and content for the site, deliver functional specifications, prioritise and schedule development work. The position also involves making user interface and design decisions to enhance the usability of woZZon products. Research and analysis of other sites, functionalities such as user generated content and social media will be necessary. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to help to set and meet targets for numbers of users, repeat visits, user submissions, and usage length.
The role will co-ordinate across editorial and technical teams to collect requirements for product development and project manage internal resources to make sure that deadlines and targets are met. You will be able to call on a team of dedicated developers, and have one product co-ordinator for mobile and one for web assisting you. We also have a QA tester and digital usage analyst to help out.
The Digital Product Manager will also explore integration with other data and content providers.
We also want someone who, as well as these excellent organisational skills, will influence the products with their own knowledge, ideas and creativity.

We now require someone with digital product marketing experience who is able to get involved in all aspects of our small but growing team. Reporting to the managing director, you will have one report (a digital marketing executive), but will also work extremely closely with our designer and product team. Must have experience in the following:

Faculty of 1000 Ltd, part of the Science Navigation Group, is a leading online service offering evaluations and comments on biomedical research literature from professionals in the field. In addition, Faculty of 1000 also publishes The Scientist magazine. We have recently launched an open access poster repository, F1000 Poster Bank which will develop to cover posters presented at conferences across the life sciences and medicine.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised individual to work on this exciting new project as Editorial Assistant. The role will involve a wide range of tasks including sourcing information on conferences and poster presenters, monitoring submissions for appropriateness and editorial quality, some basic editing, and communication with external members of the scientific community. As the product builds over time, the successful applicant will need to be flexible as the role develops.
You will have a life science/biomedical degree and be an efficient worker and well organised, with excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will also need to be a strong team player who enjoys interacting with people, and be fully computer literate. Some administrative experience may be beneficial but is not essential.

Current BioData Ltd, a joint venture between the Science Navigation Group and Geneva BioInformatics, has developed an innovative new service for the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, the Target Intelligence Service. The service includes the provision of custom scientific information in the area of drug target research and validation, including the identification of collaborative research opportunities for our clients as well as competitor intelligence.
We require a science graduate to join our Editorial team at our London office. This role will involve preparing reports on research activities and literature analyses on a daily basis which will form the standard Target Intelligence Service supplied to our commercial clients.

We are looking for a Channel Manager for a new Health Channel which we plan to launch in Web of Stories. The Health Channel will provide stories from patients, health professionals, charity workers and others on all aspects of health and illness. The Channel Manager will be responsible for developing the Health Channel from beta phase to full commercial launch.
